Fashion at Dutch Culture Centre in Shanghai

Besides some really crazy/cool parties lastweekend ( BD party at Babrie store, wig home party and my first rooftoo party) I  visited quite nice exhibition at The Dutch Culture Centre  in Shanghai. It is a new venue and their first exhibition Taking a Stance - 8 Critical Attitudes in Chinese and Dutch Architecture and Design was quite interesting. The exhibition centres on the work of eight ground-breaking designers from the Netherlands and China. Ma Ke (fashion designer from China)was the best surprise fr me - I noticed her conceptual arty fashion design already before- I watched her Paris fashion Week show/instalation video on my itunes podecast , but had no idea she is so wow. Her outfits are 100% handmade, using ancient Chinese waving techinques, just so impressive! Fashion as an Art statement is always so inspiring, her display was

Another fashion designer  at Dutch Culture Centre was dutch minimalist  Alexander van Slobbe. The book was more exiting then fashion display. A bit boooring....But anyway- It is so cool there is something fresh going on in Shanghai!


The Dutch Culture Centre will host a unique and rich programme, in total of 6 months, on some 20 performances by performing artists who enjoy high status in the Netherlands!
